There is this well-known idiom, "The true face of Lushan is lost to my sight, for it is right in this mountain that I reside." When one speaks of seeing, there are at least two positions: seeing something from afar and up close. And that stretched and indefinite space between the two poles is not a prologue; It is the substance.
Vemo Hang explores the spatial and mental dimensions between these two seemingly distinct positions by creating many versions of in situ - named Qi-dynamic (Qi/ Go/ Weiqi). Each of these room installation, which often consists of painted sculptural pieces and wall drawings or simply taped lines , not only activates but also disturbs the normalized spatial hierarchy. Therefore movement is introduced.
